My Surrender

Let go
Tense body,
Relax.

Don’t you know
That your every cell
Reverberates with the sound of God?

That you breathe in
The love of all ages
And are clothed
In constant strength?

That the imprint of
Your every step
Is revered by the angels?

Relax
Gentle Body,
Relax.

God Waits For Me

My God waits for Me
On the corner
Where past and future meet.

I have stood him up before
Or crossed the street to avoid him,
Yet I know with racing heart
That he is there

I rush now
To allow his love wash over me
Each reunion as strong and fresh
As a lover’s first embrace.
