Personal Values
| Personal values are the set of principles
you live by and continually develop as you live your life. Principles
are like lighthouses you can either use them to guide you or
you can elect to go against them and smash yourself to pieces
on the rocks! |
 |
Life is meant to be enjoyed all of the time not just
some of the time. In yoga, the longer you practice the better life
gets. Yoga is a continuing process that is a life thing, not just
something you do for a while and stop.
As the saying goes...
use it or lose it!
By choosing to be in a state of continuing improvement,
you are in a positive state. Yoga is a positive practice that is
totally beneficial. Taking care of yourself is the greatest gift
that you could ever give yourself. Your body is the vehicle of your
mind and it's the only one you've got. So look after it will care
and respect.
Most people look after their cars better than
themselves!
| Most people have hardly any respect for themselves
but the thing is, you're only as good to others as you are to
yourself. |
 |
So if you're half-ass with yourself then you're half-ass
with anybody else. Personal Values are totally important, they define
your character and they develop your personality.
Your personality is the way others see you. If you
don't entirely respect yourself, no-one else will. By the way, respect
from others is always earned and is measured by actions not just
words. Stand over tactics do not earn respect, they repel it. Once
again negative emotions are not a part of a person who continues
to practice yoga.
Your personal values are the entire foundation of
your life. Grow them and develop them for life.
A life that only gets better by the day!
